Zeke Nnaji, the Denver Nuggets forward, has plans to create “lions” and “lionesses” out of Enugu residents keen to improve their fitness with a first-rate, world class sports resort in Agbani, 15 miles to the south of the city.

The Nnaji Family Foundation, a charity set up by Zeke’s dad, Afam, who grew up in Enugu, has built the Lions Den Sports Resort – a facility unlike anything available in the city and even beyond. They call it “an all-round experience of fitness and lifestyle where champions train, play, relax and connect”.
Beyond his exploits on the basketball court, Zeke has made waves for this charitable work in his dad’s country of birth. This was showcased by CBS News in June last year.

Driven by an unshakeable urge to have an impact on others, 25 year old Nnaji’s brainchild may help nurture in Enugu young basketballers that will follow in his footsteps to the NBA, thanks to the Lions Den Sports Resort.

That said, Enugu residents that are not so blessed athletically can hone their fitness at the facility located at 15b Orji Nnaji Avenue, Agbani 401105 for about 15,000 naira a month (about $10).

- Giant chessboard
- Table tennis boards

Dad Afam told Naijiant.com that the resort is “a destination location for the health-conscious people who understand that the only bad workout is the one you didn’t do! The vision is to provide amenities that are comparable with anything globally”.

The Lions Den “is not just a place, it’s an experience” and the Nnaji Family Foundation has gifted Enugu aka “Coal City” what they call “the ultimate sports and fitness destination”.
